Ted Simpson

Ted Simpson is a nonprofit leader and storyteller with over 13 years of experience advancing community-centered solutions across Missouri. His work focuses on health education, food insecurity, literacy, job readiness, and trauma-informed, equity-driven program design. Ted is committed to addressing the long-term impacts of trauma and generational poverty, fostering community development, and strengthening connections among underserved populations. He is known for coordinating healing-centered conversations, supporting cross-sector coalitions, and uplifting community voices. As a screen writer and a creative , Ted co-created Vision, an award-winning short film that explores disinvestment, resilience and identity through magical realism. The film, directed by a St. Louis filmmaker, was the first to receive the newly reinstated Missouri film tax credit, has screened in festivals across the world and is now being streamed by Angel Studios. Ted holds a BA and MBA from Fontbonne University and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc
