Stephanie began her career as a K-12 Spanish and ELL teacher with Clayton School District. After pursuing a Master's Degree in Social Work, she transitioned to mental health as a practitioner with the Office of Refugee Resettlement, focusing on unaccompanied migrant youth. Stephanie's work over the past ten years has centered on mezzo and macro-level systems change work in education and behavioral health, first as Director of Operations with The UPRISE Collective and in her current role as Director of Statewide Engagement with the Oregon Well-Being Trust. Stephanie's practice is grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed frameworks that center community members as the experts of their lives, and the expert articulators of their own needs.
