Cydni Spurlock is a licensed master social worker who provides trauma-informed, affirming care to teens (15+) and adults, with special focus on those within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Cydni’s therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and draws from solution-focused strategies and strengths-based practices. She specializes in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, cultural identity concerns, gender and sexual identity exploration, and women’s issues.
Cydni earned her Bachelor of Social Work and Writing from Texas Christian University and her Master of Social Work and Higher Education degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. Her background includes working in K-12 public schools as an assistant counselor and intervention specialist, where she led individual and group counseling sessions focused on emotional regulation and behavior support. She also served as a college advisor, helping high school students and their families navigate the college admissions process. For the past two years, Cydni has worked with Equal Shares Parenting as both a community outreach coordinator and clinical intern, deepening her commitment to equitable, family-centered mental health care.
