Adrianne Martin

Adrianne received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis with an emphasis in Child Development. This is where her crisis work began. She continued on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis where she continued to work in crisis settings, suicide prevention, and with individuals with acute psychiatric needs. Adrianne has worked in multiple crisis settings since graduation: from suicide crisis response hotlines, residential treatment for children with behavioral and conduct disorders, and foster care case management.

Currently, Adrianne runs a private therapy practice and is an independent contractor with STLDBT offering Dialectical Behavior Therapy services for those diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and others struggling with suicidal thoughts and self-harm behaviors.

Adrianne became ASIST trained in 2015 and became a Master Trainer in 2019, having delivered over 20 ASIST trainings in that 4 year period. She was a Nurturing Parenting Facilitator for 4 years at Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center. She runs a teen and parent group to teach teens skills that are helpful for Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation,

Interpersonal Effectiveness and Mindfulness that includes the parents to create a change-ready environment for teens to readily practice skills in an informed home. By day, I’m a patient access and reimbursement pro who loves untangling insurance puzzles and helping people get the care they need.
